Solo Walks at BigpawsSmallpawsOutdoors are designed for dogs who benefit from calm, individual attention. Each walk is tailored to your dog’s pace, personality and confidence level, ideal for dogs who prefer quieter outings, need consistency, or thrive with one‑to‑one support. Every new client begins with a free meet and greet so we can discuss your dog’s needs and set the service up in the best way for them. Solo Walks are perfect for dogs who enjoy focused attention, nervous or sensitive dogs, puppies building confidence, older dogs needing a slower pace, dogs in training, and those not suited to group walks. Your dog benefits from a calm, predictable walking environment, consistent reinforcement of good behaviour, mental stimulation, natural enrichment and improved confidence. For owners, Solo Walks offer peace of mind, reliability and a structured routine that supports your dog’s progress. To ensure safety, dogs must walk on‑lead, wear secure equipment, and be up‑to‑date with vaccinations. No behaviour evaluation is required, everything is discussed during the free meet and greet. Safety is always the priority. Walks include secure equipment checks, on‑lead walking unless agreed otherwise, long‑line options for dogs learning recall, and routes chosen based on your dog’s needs, weather and terrain. I monitor body language closely to ensure comfort and confidence throughout the walk. Dogs should be able to walk calmly on‑lead, respond to basic cues and follow the structure of the walk. If extra support is needed, I may recommend a slower introduction, the Loyalty Leash Programme or additional training options. Solo Walk clients also benefit from the loyalty card scheme: collect one stamp per walk and receive 20% off a walk of your choice when the card is full. A new card is issued automatically so you can continue saving. All Solo Walk clients receive a free meet and greet to discuss routines, understand your dog’s walking style and ensure the service is the right fit. The same applies to the Loyalty Leash Programme. Cancellation Policy
To ensure the smooth operation of BigpawsSmallpawsOutdoors, clients may cancel or reschedule this service at any time, provided at least 24 hours’ notice is given before the scheduled Solo Walk. This ensures smooth planning and keeps everything running efficiently. Any late cancellation or late reschedule will be charged at the full Solo Walk rate. This policy prevents last‑minute disruptions and maintains the smooth operation of BigpawsSmallpawsOutdoors. 1. Meet & Greet Requirement A free meet and greet is required before booking Solo Walks to discuss your dog’s routines, confidence level, walking style, and ensure the service is the right fit. 2. Behaviour, Safety & Management I work with dogs of all behaviour levels, but Solo Walks require that your dog is safe and manageable for one‑to‑one handling. Dogs must walk safely on‑lead, wear secure equipment, and be comfortable with routine outdoor environments. If at any point your dog’s behaviour or current management creates a safety risk for me, the dog, or anyone else, I will pause Solo Walks and advise the training or management changes needed. Once your dog is safe, stable, and properly managed, Solo Walks can continue. 3. Service Scope Solo Walks provide calm, focused, one‑to‑one outings tailored to your dog’s pace, personality, and confidence level. Walks may include natural enrichment, mental stimulation, confidence‑building routes, long‑line options for recall training, and structured reinforcement of good behaviour. These walks do not replace full training sessions unless arranged separately. 4. Payments All Solo Walks must be paid in full before or at the time of booking. Late cancellations or missed walks are charged at the full rate. Loyalty card discounts apply for regular Solo Walk clients. 5. Environment & Access Clients must ensure safe access to the property for pick‑up and drop‑off, and provide any necessary instructions for entry, alarms, gates, or equipment. Unsafe environments or equipment may result in the walk being paused or cancelled. 6. Safety During Walks Safety is always the priority. Walks include secure equipment checks, on‑lead walking unless agreed otherwise, long‑line options for dogs learning recall, routes planned for weather and terrain, and close monitoring of body language to ensure comfort and confidence. Dogs must wear secure collars or harnesses and be up‑to‑date with vaccinations.
