Welcome to BigPawsSmallPawsOutdoors

At BigPawsSmallPawsOutdoors, I’m dedicated to providing top‑quality dog training, structured walking, and behaviour‑focused support tailored to each dog’s individual needs and personality. My approach is built around the relationship between you and your dog, the results you’ll gain, and the long‑term benefits—not just the hours spent. Every K9 is unique, so I assess the scope, complexity, and level of support required before offering a customised quote. This ensures you only pay for what your dog truly needs. The type of training or behaviour work required—such as reactivity, aggression, anxiety, or confidence‑building—can influence pricing. To keep things accessible, I offer loyalty cards, hourly rates, package deals, and flexible payment plans for owners who may need extra support. My goal is to make high‑quality training and behaviour guidance available to every dog and every family.

My Mission:

I’m committed to helping you and your dog build a calm, confident, and obedient partnership. Whether you have a big‑pawed or small‑pawed companion, I have the skills and experience to work with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments—including reactive and aggressive dogs who need a steady, understanding approach. My mission is to empower you to become the best teacher for your dog. I’ll equip you with the knowledge, structure, and techniques needed to create a balanced relationship and tackle life’s adventures in ways that are enjoyable and practical for both of you. I provide customised training plans, block packages, and one‑hour sessions designed specifically around your dog’s needs and your goals.

In‑Person Dog Training:

This option is ideal for owners who already understand the basics but need occasional guidance, structure, or help refining their skills. It’s important that handlers show a clear understanding of the methods we’ll be using. If you’re already familiar with the techniques, a few focused sessions may be all you need to make real progress. For owners who are newer to training, I offer supportive package deals to help build confidence and competence at a steady pace. Together, we’ll work toward a well‑behaved, balanced dog and a relationship rooted in trust, clear communication, and mutual respect. My aim is to help your dog reach their full potential and become the best version of themselves—while you gain the dog you’ve always dreamed of.

Dog Walking Services:

For busy pet parents, I offer a reliable, professional, and behaviour‑aware dog walking service to ensure your dog gets the exercise, enrichment, and structure they need while you’re at work, out for the day, or simply in need of support. Every walk is designed around your dog’s personality, energy level, and behavioural needs.

Your dog can enjoy:

  • Solo walks for dogs who need one‑to‑one attention or a calmer environment

  • Group walks (up to six dogs) for structured socialisation and confidence‑building

  • Hike walks and woodland adventures for high‑energy dogs needing deeper enrichment

  • Field runs and long‑line sessions for dogs who need freedom but aren’t ready for off‑lead reliability

  • Relaxed neighbourhood strolls for dogs who prefer a steady, predictable pace

Walks can be on or off lead depending on your instructions and your dog’s recall abilities. For dogs who aren’t ready for off‑lead freedom, I provide extra‑long leads so they can run, sniff, and explore safely without losing structure.

The Loyalty Leash Programme:

The Loyalty Leash Programme is designed for owners who want consistent, structured support that blends walking, training, and behaviour improvement into a predictable weekly routine. This programme helps dogs become calmer, more confident, and easier to handle through steady exposure, boundaries, and repetition.

It’s ideal for:

  • reactive or aggressive dogs

  • anxious or overstimulated dogs

  • dogs needing routine and clear expectations

  • owners who want long‑term progress

  • regular clients who prefer a reliable weekly schedule

Each dog follows a personalised plan focusing on loose‑lead walking, calmness, impulse control, social skills, and behaviour around triggers. It’s a supportive, long‑term approach that meets dogs exactly where they are and guides them forward at a safe, achievable pace:

I also offer a safe, reliable pet taxi service for regular clients. This includes:

  • vet appointments

  • grooming visits

  • daycare drop‑offs

  • medication pick‑ups

  • transport for reactive or aggressive dogs who need calm, controlled handling

This service is especially helpful for owners who struggle with transport, have mobility limitations, or need support managing a reactive dog in busy environments.

Journey

My journey of becoming a dog trainer and walker, began serendipitously as I volunteered as a dog walker, fuelled by an unwavering passion for nurturing and training dogs. Long before I officially started this venture, I dedicated countless hours to working with a diverse array of dogs—those belonging to family and friends, as well as my own beloved pets. I quickly discovered that I had a natural affinity for understanding canine behaviour, often finding myself stepping in to assist local dog owners with training challenges while walking through the streets, parks, and lush fields around my community. My weekends transformed into a whirlwind of research and learning opportunities, as I consumed books, courses, and behavioural psychology. I was relentless in my pursuit of knowledge, constantly striving to sharpen my skills and develop new strategies to help dogs and their owners achieve harmony. The more I learned, the more my confidence grew, and I knew I was laying a solid foundation for my future. After five years of immersive hands-on experience, I reached a pivotal crossroad in my life. With a heart full of excitement and a determination to turn my passion into a sustainable career, I made the bold decision to leave my traditional job behind. I confidently launched my very own dog walking and training business.

This leap of faith marked the beginning of a remarkable journey, filled with innumerable furry friends and heartwarming moments. I have had the privilege of working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities, each one teaching me something new. The joy of seeing a once-timid pup transform into a confident companion or helping a dog and owner reconnect has been profoundly rewarding. I cherish every wagging tail, every playful bark, and each successful training session that brings us closer to achieving harmony in the human-canine bond.

Today, I continue to build on that same passion and purpose—offering calm, structured support to dogs and their families across Nottingham. Every dog I meet reminds me why I chose this path, and every owner who trusts me reinforces my commitment to providing reliable care, thoughtful guidance and a behaviour‑led approach that truly makes a difference. My journey is still unfolding, and I’m grateful for every step, every lesson, and every dog that becomes part of it.
