Group Walks at BigpawsSmallpawsOutdoors are structured, behaviour‑focused outings designed to build calm social skills, confidence, and emotional balance. Dogs explore in a small, compatible group of up to six, matched by temperament, energy level, and walking style. Walks are calm, controlled, and enriching — never chaotic — giving dogs real social time while still following a clear structure. Each Group Walk includes 1 hour of structured walking, plus 30 minutes for safe collection, drop‑off, and settling the group, ensuring a smooth, relaxed, and stress‑free experience. Dogs get to enjoy being dogs — sniffing, exploring, and socialising — but always within a well‑managed environment. Ideal for dogs who are social, enjoy being around others, benefit from structured socialisation, walk calmly in small groups, and love exploring new environments with canine company. Not suitable for reactive dogs, dogs who struggle to settle around others, or dogs needing one‑to‑one support (better suited to Solo Walks or the Loyalty Leash Programme). Benefits include improved social skills, calm coexistence, mental stimulation, confidence through structured exposure, physical exercise, reduced boredom, and better emotional balance — a healthy mix of freedom and guided behaviour. Requirements: Dogs must be comfortable around others, show no aggression or reactivity, walk safely on‑lead, wear secure collars or harnesses, and be up‑to‑date with vaccinations. A free meet & greet is required to ensure your dog is placed in the right group. Safety: Walks include controlled introductions, small group sizes, secure equipment checks, on‑lead walking unless agreed otherwise, routes planned for weather and terrain, and constant monitoring of body language and group dynamics. Behaviour expectations: Dogs must coexist calmly, walk without excessive pulling, respond to basic cues, show appropriate social behaviour, and follow the structure of the walk. Dogs who struggle may be moved to Solo Walks or the Loyalty Leash Programme.
