Service Description
Group Walks at BigpawsSmallpawsOutdoors are structured, behaviour‑focused outings designed to build calm social skills, confidence, and emotional balance. Dogs explore in a small, compatible group of up to six, matched by temperament, energy level, and walking style. Walks are calm, controlled, and enriching, never chaotic. Giving dogs real social time while still following a clear structure. Each Group Walk includes 1 hour of structured walking, plus 30 minutes for safe collection, drop‑off, and settling the group, ensuring a smooth, relaxed, and stress‑free experience. Dogs get to enjoy being dogs, sniffing, exploring, and socialising, but always within a well‑managed environment. Ideal for dogs who are social, enjoy being around others, benefit from structured socialisation, walk calmly in small groups, and love exploring new environments with canine company. Not suitable for reactive dogs, dogs who struggle to settle around others, or dogs needing one‑to‑one support (better suited to Solo Walks or the Loyalty Leash Programme). Benefits include improved social skills, calm coexistence, mental stimulation, confidence through structured exposure, physical exercise, reduced boredom, and better emotional balance, a healthy mix of freedom and guided behaviour. Requirements: Dogs must be comfortable around others, show no aggression or reactivity, walk safely on‑lead, wear secure collars or harnesses, and be up‑to‑date with vaccinations. A free meet & greet is required to ensure your dog is placed in the right group. Safety: Walks include controlled introductions, small group sizes, secure equipment checks, on‑lead walking unless agreed otherwise, routes planned for weather and terrain, and constant monitoring of body language and group dynamics. Behaviour expectations: Dogs must coexist calmly, walk without excessive pulling, respond to basic cues, show appropriate social behaviour, and follow the structure of the walk. Dogs who struggle may be moved to Solo Walks or the Loyalty Leash Programme. Pricing: Group Walk (60 minutes): £16.00 Two dogs from the same household: £28.00 Weekly and monthly group‑walk packages available for regular clients. Cancellation Policy
To ensure the smooth operation of BigpawsSmallpawsOutdoors, clients may cancel or reschedule this service at any time, provided at least 24 hours’ notice is given before the scheduled Group Walk. This ensures smooth planning and keeps everything running efficiently. Any late cancellation or late reschedule will be charged at the full Group Walk rate. This policy prevents last‑minute disruptions and maintains the smooth operation of BigpawsSmallpawsOutdoors. 1. Meet & Greet Requirement A free meet and greet is required before joining Group Walks to ensure your dog’s behaviour, confidence level, and group compatibility are fully understood. 2. Behaviour, Safety & Management Group Walks involve small, compatible groups of up to six dogs. Dogs must be comfortable around others, show no aggression or reactivity, and walk safely on‑lead. If at any point your dog’s behaviour or current management creates a safety risk for me, the dog, the group, or anyone else, I will pause Group Walks and advise the training or management changes needed. Once your dog is safe, stable, and properly managed, Group Walks can continue. 3. Service Scope Group Walks provide calm, structured, behaviour‑focused outings designed to build social skills, confidence, and emotional balance. Each walk includes 1 hour of structured walking, plus 30 minutes for safe collection, drop‑off, and settling the group. Dogs enjoy exploration, sniffing, socialisation, and enrichment within a controlled, well‑managed environment. These walks do not replace full training sessions unless arranged separately. 4. Payments All Group Walks must be paid in full before or at the time of booking. Late cancellations or missed walks are charged at the full rate. Discounts apply for multiple dogs from the same household according to the pricing structure. 5. Environment & Access Clients must ensure safe access to the property for pick‑up and drop‑off, and provide any necessary instructions for entry, alarms, gates, or equipment. Unsafe environments or equipment may result in the walk being paused or cancelled. 6. Safety During Walks Safety is always the priority. Group Walks include controlled introductions, secure equipment checks, on‑lead walking unless agreed otherwise, routes planned for weather and terrain, and constant monitoring of body language and group dynamics. Dogs must wear secure collars or harnesses and be up‑to‑date with vaccinations.
